From his first radio engineering job in West Virginia, he moved into radio station ownership and then helped build the local public television station in WV. After several positions and operating a technical service company he has been with a major equipment manufacturer helping the television industry build out their digital and high definition RF facilities. Dan is an SBE member; he holds a Lifetime Radio Telephone License (First Class) an Extra Class Ham (K4JX) and multi-engine Pilot. Dan would like to use his experience to help you.

His broadcast equipment career began in 1965 when he joined McMartin Industries. He worked in sales and marketing there until co-founding RF Specialties in 1982.

Wray began his career as a transmitter technician, moved to assistant chief engineer, then on to becoming chief engineer. After 17 years he moved into broadcast sales where he has been providing service for the past 13 years. Joining the RF Specialties Group in 2002, Wray now operates the Fort Worth office for RF Specialties of Texas.

He holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania Moore School of Electrical Engineering and La Salle College in Philadelphia, PA. Industry affiliations include Rocky Mountain Section of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE); Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and the IEEE’s Broadcast Technology Society. Jim began his broadcasting career with Group W Satellite where he was a research engineer; He later worked as a consultant to the National Broadcasting Company in New York.
